Richarlison Tottenham exit edges closer as Trabzonspor circle

Richarlison's Tottenham career may not last much longer. Trabzonspor are showing firm interest in the Brazilian striker and could complete a move before the Turkish transfer window closes on Friday night.

According to Spurs manager Roberto De Zerbi, the forward has asked to leave. That request appears to have been received sympathetically. De Zerbi did not block two other players who made the same call before the English deadline on Tuesday night.

Those two were Kevin Danso and Pape Sarr. Danso was allowed to join Sunderland on loan, while Sarr moved to Juventus, also on loan. Both deals include clauses that give the new clubs the option to buy.

Richarlison's situation is more awkward because English options have now vanished. The Brazilian refused a return to Everton on Tuesday, so that door has closed for now, and with the Premier League window shut, Turkey is the most obvious route out.

Trabzonspor are still weighing up their bid, so nothing is agreed. Time is the main pressure point. The Turkish window shuts on Friday night, which leaves only a few days for the clubs to settle on a fee or loan structure and for the player to accept the terms.

If the move stalls, Richarlison would stay at Tottenham despite having asked to go. That would leave a striker who wants out inside a squad that has already lost two players this week. A last-minute agreement with Trabzonspor would solve the problem for both sides.
